Introducing 'Männer von Morgen' ('Men of Tomorrow'): Empowering young men* through dialogue, fun, and learning. Join us in discussing identity, aspirations, and more in a supportive community.
Discover 'Men of Tomorrow,' a project initiated within the 'Irgendwie hier! Flucht - Migration - Männlichkeiten' framework by LAG Jungenarbeit NRW. Our 'young men' group is designed for male youth and young men aged 16-27, including migrants and refugees.
We cater primarily to youth and young men* with migration experience seeking exchange and guidance.
From April to November 2019, we hosted biweekly gatherings for the young men* group, with an open invitation for all interested individuals. Together, we explored topics like 'What does it mean to be a man*?' - 'What are my aspirations in Germany?' - 'What defines my identity?' and more. We also enjoyed leisure activities and outings for mental well-being. Our meetings followed a workshop format, featuring experienced and knowledgeable speakers on subjects like empowerment, participation, dance, community involvement, improv theater, trauma, identity, project management, and much more.
In this project, we addressed racism directly. The 'Men* of Tomorrow' met regularly to exchange ideas, release frustration, learn, have fun, and form lasting friendships, meeting approximately every two weeks.
