Education and early support are crucial for young people's future, especially those without access to higher education due to their parents' circumstances. Experienced caregivers can open doors for them.
VKII Ruhrbezirk e.V. and ViW are jointly funded by Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMFSFJ's) 'Menschen stärken Menschen' program, aiming to recruit mentors who can empower young people, particularly those facing barriers to education and opportunities due to their family backgrounds.
The target audience is dedicated to be mentors supporting refugees, children, adolescents, and young adults up to 27 years old during crucial school-to-career transitions.
The Mentorships approach offer practical guidance and emotional support, facilitated by specialists and enhanced through workshops and training.
Our mission is to help young individuals achieve their educational and career aspirations, promoting equity in education.
How It Works: 1.Optional info evening, 2.Personal interview and profile creation, 3.Matching mentors with mentees, 4.Goal-setting meetings, 5.Ongoing support, 6.Final evaluation.
We Provide: Supervision, Pedagogical support, Conflict resolution, Financial support for mentorships, Targeted mentor workshops, Regular mentor meetings, Certificate of voluntary commitment.

Über Tanz, Storytelling und Video erkunden sie die gemeinsame deutsch-togolesische Geschichte – von Lomé bis zum UNESCO-Welterbe Koutammakou. Vom 22. Juli bis zum 24. August 2026, mit Reise nach Togo vom 8. bis 18. August.
